Latino Community Liaison

Our agency is seeking a part-time Latino Community Liaison, to help Latino individuals and their families, as well as identified local agencies serving the Latino community, better understand, access and utilize NVHADS programs and services. The Liaison will participate in community-based outreach activities in an effort to promote awareness, reduce barriers, identify educational opportunities, and support access to services. 
A secondary role will include identifying internal barriers to access for Latinos, and assisting with the development of a Cultural Awareness Program for NVHADS staff and volunteers.

• High School graduate or equivalent
• AA degree in health or human services related field – preferred
• One year health education experience with Spanish speaking population – preferred
• Bilingual/bicultural in Spanish
• Possession of a valid California Drivers License and the ability to maintain automobile insurance.

 

HOSPICE

Counseling and Social Work Manager

Our Hospice department is seeking a full-time Counseling and Social Work Manager to collaborate with other Hospice Interdisciplinary members to promote the provision of quality care in all settings.  Supervises the Social Work, Spiritual Care, and Bereavement staff.
Please apply if you possess the following job requirements:

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Divinity, Counseling Psychology or related field.
• Licensed as LCSW preferred.
• Experience and/or training in the field of death and dying.
• Understanding of grief and peer counseling.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• One year of clinical experience in a health-care setting preferred.
• Possession of a valid California Driver’s License and the ability to maintain automobile insurance.
• Professional license or proof of educational level required.
