Grief and Loss |
Napa Valley Hospice & Adult Day Services has provided grief support programs to Napa County residents since 1997. We offer expert, professional counseling in dealing with grief and loss and are here to support a healthy approach to the grieving process.
If you are a member of our community, whether or not a loved one has received hospice services, you can receive support to address your individual issues of grief and loss through our programs.
These grief support services include group sessions, special events, and up to two individual counseling sessions free-of-charge for community members who are in crisis due to grief or want support with significant loss. Our bereavement department also offers fee-for-service grief counseling when a person decides they would like to continue to receive support beyond the two free sessions.
Special bereavement programs are also offered for children and adolescents.
Hospice services include bereavement support for families and we encourage hospice family members to participate in our grief support groups after the loss of a loved one. Hospice families receive bereavement support services, which include 12 free one-on-one counseling for 12 months after a loved one passes away.

Courage Camp |
In addition to our ongoing support groups, Napa Valley Hospice offers an annual Courage Camp, where families can come for a weekend and address their feelings of grief. This program is highly beneficial to a surviving parent and children, to bring the family together, learn about and explore their grief, and begin to express their feelings in a healthy, healing way. For more information about Courage Camp, call our Bereavement Services Manager at 707-258-9080.
